A Vontade VTD-0201SXX-JNS Coal Mine Jeans Indigo

Inspired by jeans worn by coal miners in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the A Vontade Coal Mine Jeans reinterpret classic workwear details through a modern 5-pocket construction.

The jeans are made from A Vontade's original 13.5oz denim, woven on shuttle looms using Zimbabwean long-staple cotton for the warp and natural brown cotton from an unmodified variety for the weft. The fabric has a deep, rich indigo tone with subtle vertical fading.

The denim is left unsinged and treated with a specialized Sanforized finish designed to develop a slight twist after washing, giving the finished garment an authentic vintage character.

The silhouette features a slightly deeper rise and generous room from the thigh through the hem, creating a wide straight fit. Instead of the traditional rear yoke found on most jeans, the back is constructed with two vertical and two horizontal darts. This creates a more dimensional, relaxed shape through the seat while maintaining a clean overall profile.

Vintage-inspired details include original iron tack buttons, punched-through rivets, two-needle buckle construction, and fine, understated stitching. These elements reference early workwear while giving the jeans a distinctive A VONTADE identity.
