The fabric of the ONI Denim 121S-Ishikawadai Relax Tapered Stretch Denim Indigo 15oz is produced on the “Ishikawa-dai,” regarded as Japan's oldest spinning machine. Operating at only about one-third the speed of modern spinning machines, it prioritizes fiber integrity over efficiency. The gentle spinning process reduces stress on the cotton, creating a naturally uneven texture similar to hand-spun yarn - a character that remains present even in the stretch version. Although it contains stretch, the fabric surface feels dry and rugged rather than elastic. The comfort reveals itself only when worn. The indigo tone carries a subtle green cast, reminiscent of vintage deadstock denim, adding depth and authenticity.

Cut in a relaxed tapered silhouette, the fit features a comfortable mid-to-regular rise and a roomier thigh, with a strong taper from the knee to the hem for a clean, modern outline while maintaining ease of movement.
