Omoto Denim 0815 Loose Fit Jeans Selvedge Charcoal Dyed

The widest model in the Omoto denim lineup. Deep rise, loose and straight silhouette from thigh to knee. Inspired by tailor-made trousers, the pattern design is based on the structure of the human body. It combines a comfortable fit with a sophisticated silhouette.

Made from Omoto’s custom 13.5 oz. selvedge denim, woven on a 1950s Sakamoto shuttle loom to recreate the distinctive texture and weight of vintage selvedge denim.
The denim is then overdyed with Japanese binchotan white charcoal, made from the wood of the ubame oak tree and traditionally used in Japanese cooking. This process stiffens and darkens the fabric, creating an exceptional dusky black-blue hue that varies from jeans to jeans.

Over time, the overdye will gradually fade, revealing deeper charcoal-toned indigo undertones and giving each jeans its own unique character.
