Loose-fit jeans with a high waist and a wide leg. A pair of dry jeans crafted from 12.7 oz rigid denim, featuring a uniquely dyed two-ply weft that creates the impression of static background noise. At first glance, the surface appears clean and uniform, but with time and wear, a much greater depth begins to emerge. After the first wash, shades of blue and black reveal themselves alongside a distinct greenish cast, adding an entirely new dimension to the fabric.
Subtle vertical streaks run throughout the denim, with shifting shades of deep blue created by the uneven warp yarns and the gradually revealed weft. As the denim breaks in, these irregularities develop naturally, bringing the fabric's unique texture fully to life. Smooth to the touch, yet robust in character.
In the beginning, there was only cosmic static. Since then, things have changed. History repeats itself in these jeans.
The distinctive character and remarkable tonal variations come from a carefully considered dyeing process. The warp threads are dyed with blackened indigo, achieved by adding a layer of black over the indigo. The distorted effect in the weft comes from two threads dyed in different colours and then combined to create the unique two-ply construction.
The signature back embroidery follows the same distorted aesthetic, using space-dyed yarn that echoes the fabric's irregular appearance. As a result, no two pairs feature exactly the same back embroidery – each one is uniquely distorted. Alongside the space-dyed threads, soft grey stitching is used throughout the seams, allowing the denim itself to remain front and center.
