Introducing George, a regular-fit shirt crafted from exceptional 14.2 oz Dry Ace Selvage by Shinya Mills in Okayama, Japan. Its rugged texture, pronounced slub, deep redcast indigo hue celebrate the art of Japanese selvedge denim.

Inspired by a heavily worn, unbranded pair of 1950s jeans discovered in the USA, the fabric was meticulously reverse-engineered in Japan. Extreme slub yarns spun by Yamachu Mengyo in Osaka are dyed with 20 dips of pure indigo by Kaihara in Hiroshima, before being woven at low tension on vintage shuttle looms by Shinya Mills.

The result is richly saturated denim with exceptional ageing potential. Over time, the indigo develops striking vertical fades, gradually revealing brighter blue tones. Washing introduces a rustic crosshatch texture with a coarse salt-and-pepper effect, while deeper indigo remains preserved along seams and folds.
