This crown cap is nicknamed the "canteen" due to its shape. This model is so popular that the crown of the watch has a nickname. This is a special waterproof watch developed and distributed for UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) underwater demolition team members. In 1942, the U.S. Navy and Army recognized the need for amphibious attacks and established a unit to land landing troops. It is also the predecessor of the United States Navy SEALs, the special forces unit that the U.S. military is proud of today.
