Constructed from 13.75oz Japanese selvedge denim, the exclusive "Trad" fabric features a rich, deep indigo warp paired with a classic natural weft, offering the authentic appearance of traditional American workwear denim. Woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan, this premium selvedge denim is designed to soften, fade, and develop unique character with years of wear.
The jacket features a period-correct boxy fit with a natural waist length and a rounded A-1 style collar. Functional front expansion pleats, secured with the signature MF® arrowhead dart stitching, remain true to the practical construction of early workwear jackets. Distinctive slanted chest pockets, a single pocket flap, exposed selvedge detailing, and contrast NOS denim twill facings add unique visual character while staying rooted in vintage design.
Additional heritage details include custom MF® snap buttons, an adjustable buckle-back with concealed selvedge cinch strap, unmarked copper rivets with leather washer backing, traditional "caballo" construction, vintage-inspired orange and yellow 100% cotton stitching, and the original printed "Joe G" woven label.
