Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1933 501 Jeans One Wash Blue

The 1933 501® jeans we offered introduced practical updates like belt loops while still retaining heritage details such as the classic cinch and suspender buttons. However, customer preferences were clearly evolving. Many Levi’s® wearers chose to remove the cinch and suspender buttons altogether, favoring a more modern way of wearing their jeans without suspenders. To better serve this demand, some Levi’s® retailers even kept large scissors at the counter, providing on-the-spot alterations by cutting off the cinch for customers.

This 1933 model also showcased an updated “Guarantee Ticket” on the back pocket. Following the 1927 trademarking of the Levi’s® name—introduced to distinguish authentic products as the term had become widely generic—the ticket was revised from the earlier “This is a pair of them” to the more definitive “This Is A Pair Of Levi’s®.” Additionally, beneath the leather patch, customers would find a small white cloth label featuring a blue eagle and the letters “NRA.” This symbol indicated that Levi Strauss & Co. complied with the labor standards set by President Franklin Roosevelt’s National Recovery Administration during the 1930s Depression era, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to responsible production.
