Its deep, earthy brown hue is not achieved through traditional dyeing methods, but through a natural blend of Foxfibre® cotton and an iron mordant treatment—producing a rich, organic tone that deepens and evolves over time. Foxfibre® is a naturally colored cotton, organically grown on a single-origin farm in New Mexico, eliminating the need for artificial dyes. The Coyote 80 blend features the deepest and richest tones in the Foxfibre® range, combining 80% Foxfibre® with 20% organically grown Extra Long Staple cotton. This composition enhances both the softness and durability of the material. To further enrich the fabric’s tone, the cotton fibers undergo a traditional iron mordant treatment, where they are soaked in an iron-rich solution that reacts with the cotton's natural pigments. This process deepens the color, creating a dimensional, earthy brown with lasting character. Over time, Foxfibre® cotton naturally matures in color, offering a one-of-a-kind patina through wear and exposure.
Knitted in Wakayama, Japan, using circular knitting machines, this French terry fabric features a low gauge (10G) construction with an irregular surface texture. The interior is finished with large, soft loops, enhancing both tactile comfort and visual depth.
