This technique imparts an uneven surface texture and color tone to the fabric, which, over time, will develop high-contrast vertical fades as the indigo fades away. In keeping with its celebration of Mexican culture, this denim is made from 100% Mexican upland cotton. The selvedge ID mirrors the colorful stripes found in traditional Mexican sarape blankets, adding a touch of authenticity and cultural homage. Furthermore, the jeans feature a vegetable-tanned leather patch and pocket flasher, beautifully embellished with artwork by José Ruiz, aka Koopa, a distinguished tattoo artist from Mexico City.
