Naked & Famous Denim Jacket Big Slub Selvedge 18oz

The 18oz Big Slub Selvedge is a re-issue of a denim used in the very first Naked & Famous Denim collection from 2008. This 18oz heavyweight Japanese selvedge denim has an extremely uneven surface texture. To achieve this, extra thick irregular shaped “slub” yarns are used in combination with loose slow weaving techniques. The result is an uneven organic texture reminiscent of hand-woven fabric. The yarn is rope dyed with indigo and due to the thickness and irregular shape of the yarn, indigo absorption varies from section to section. Over time with wear these yarns will fade and produce three-dimensional high contrast indigo tones. Woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan the denim bulky and rigid and will require some time to break in. Cut, sewn, built in Canada with contrast stitching, classic redline selvedge ID, 10oz natural vegetable tanned leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets.

The Denim Jacket is a classic denim jacket cut to fit comfortably in the chest and arms with two chest flap pockets, two front slash pockets, and two large interior pockets.
