Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1933 501 Jeans Bamoose

The Levi’s® Vintage Clothing 1933 501® Jeans reproduce a pivotal transitional model in the evolution of the 501®, marking the moment when classic workwear began to adapt to changing lifestyles. While belt loops were now standard, the jeans still featured a cinch back and suspender buttons, offering multiple ways to wear them.

At the time, some owners chose a more modern approach - wearing their jeans with a belt instead of suspenders. It was common for customers to cut off the cinch at the rivet and remove the suspender buttons, and some Levi’s® retailers even kept scissors at the cash desk to modify the jeans on request.

Crafted in Japan from Kaihara denim, this version is made from 100% cotton and dyed in a distinctive indigo tone, balancing authenticity with a slightly softer appearance. Period-correct details include exposed rivets, a button fly, and the redesigned “Guarantee Ticket” on the back pocket. Trademarked in 1927, the updated ticket now read “This Is A Pair Of Levi’s®”, replacing the earlier wording “This is a pair of them,” and marking a key moment in Levi’s® brand history.
