Extended Photographic Material (EPM) is a camera lifestyle brand founded by a Japanese photographer.
The Yosemite Strap was born from an encounter with a climber during a photo trip to Yosemite National Park in California, and was conceived as a camera strap using a real climbing rope.
The strap was adopted by LEICA, a high-end German camera manufacturer, and its durability, careful handcrafting by skilled Japanese craftsmen and ease of use became the talk of the town, leading to it being sold in LEICA stores worldwide and being hailed as “the masterpiece of camera straps”.

In 2018, the rope end connector ‘Alligator Lock System’ was jointly developed with YKK.
In 2019, the company launches ‘Essentials for Travelling. Cashless everyday life. No more dropping. No more breaking”, the Yosemite Mobile Strap for iPhone was launched with improved iPhone specifications.
