A pilots watch said to be Elgin's masterpiece used by the WW II US Army Air Forces. This watch, which had the last a code name and was made for US military pilots, was able to fly day or night, making it a rare 24-hour watch with day and night color-coded black and white. Type A-17A pilot quartz watch reprint The main case has a coin edge on both the front and back so that it will not be noticeable even if the corners are scratched. The windshield is machined into a rounded shape. It has a slightly antique look and has a slightly creamy white and black dial instead of white.
